Hey, all. I know it’s not a regular convention, but we’ll be around at Game Developers Conference (GDC) next week. If you happen to be around, look for a guy named Taro Omiya that looks like this:
Hope to see you there!
As promised, Touch Yoga Free, an ad-supported port of Touch Yoga, is now available on the Apple AppStore:
If you’ve missed the first one, here’s a good opportunity to check it out again on this simple but very fun and well-received game!
Description:
Touch Yoga introduces a new way to play on your phone and tablet! This simple game involves tapping and holding several points on the screen for 4 seconds. Be careful, though: these points twist, move, and turn all over the screen!
WARNING: it has been known to cause extreme satisfaction when a level is conquered.

For Global Game Jam 2015 at MAGFest, our team created a new social card game where everyone playing does not know the rules to the game. Enter Impossible Poker, a game about deciphering the rules of the game. It can be played with 4 or more players, a pack of playing cards, some tokens, and 2 makeshift cards/pieces of paper saying yes or no on one side, and blank on the other.
The full instructions can be read (along with a smart random rules generator to see some example rules) at the Impossible Poker game page, but here is the quick summary of the rules.
It’s very fun (and challenging!) to play, and can be setup both cheaply and quickly. Try it out with your friends!
Hey, guys. We’ll be at Washington, DC this weekend to make a game at MAGFest. Yup, we’ll actually make a game, courtesy of Global Game Jam happening at that very location. This will be the first #OneGameAMonth we’ll be developing in 2015, so it’s going to be incredibly exciting. See you there!
Originally an Indies Need Booze patrons‘ exclusive game, Letters From Secret Santa is now released publicly for free! Check it out in these web portals below:
From the minds of Robert Denner and Taro Omiya, take a holiday trip through various locales and discover different Christmas traditions as you journey inside the imagination of a small boy reading letters from his secret Santa, in this text platformer unlike any other you’ve ever played.
Along with the public release of Letters From Secret Santa, some of the artworks used in the game are released as well, to respect the Creative Commons Share-Alike license. The artworks are only slightly modified from the Jimmy Jump Pack by 1001.com, but it should come to use for those who use Unity game engine like me. Without further ado, here are the zipped art assets:
Yes, we’ve finally uploaded all of our webplayers on Newgrounds, and the comments has been wonderful. If you want to check them out, head to http://omiyagames.newgrounds.com/games/ and check out all of our games!
Also, most webplayers have been uploaded on Itch.io, so you can play the game in your browser. That said, much like GameJolt, most games have native downloadable options as well.
